Pilotless Target Aircraft test flown from ITR
Balasore, Jan 3 (UNI) The indigenously built Pilotless Target Aircraft (PTA), 'Lakshya', was successfully test flown today from the Integrated Test Range (ITR) at Chandipur-on-Sea.
According to ITR sources, the Unmanned Air Vehicle (UAV) was test flown from the launch complex at 1236 hours.
The sources said it was a developed engine version, which had been used as an aerial reconnaissance of the battle field, including target acquisition.
The 'Lakshya' aircraft had already been inducted into the defence force, the sources said.
