Officials seize mobile phone, charger, SIM from cell

Coimbatore, Jan 3 (UNI) Coimbatore Central Prison Officials today seized a cellphone, a charger and one SIM card from the cell of Sait Fakruddin, an accused in the bomb blast case.

Prison officials said three Al-Umma activists Sait Fakruddin, Vedio Rafiq and Pilal were on parole for a few hours yesterday to go to their respective homes as per a court order.

On their return, officials frisked the three and found one cell phone battery, Rs 200 cash, one head phone, one cigarette lighter and two tobacco packets.

On suspicion, a search was carried out at Fakruddin's cell, which ended in siezure of a cell phone, charger and one SIM card, officials added.
