Nat archery tourney from Jan 25

Vijayawada, Jan 3(UNI) The five-day 27th Cherukuri Volga memorial senior national archery championship will be held at Dr NTR University of Health Sciences here from January 25.

According to Krishna District Archery Association (KDAA) president Cherukuri Satyanarayana, more than 150 archers, who represented the country in different age groups, would participate in the championship.

He said eight teams in archery to take part in the coming national games at Guwahati in Asom beginning from February 9, would be selected during the tournament.

The Indian team for the forthcoming international tournaments would also be selected by the selection committee, he said adding that events would be held in Indian round, Fita, Compound and Recurve segments for both men and women.
