Meghalaya cops nab gunrunners

Shillong, Jan 3 (UNI) Meghalaya police arrested three persons, including two gunrunners, here yesterday.

The gunrunners were identified as Nirmal Chandra and Uttam Das from Rilbong bridge, police said.

A country-made revolver of .32 calibre with twenty rounds of ammunition were recovered from them, police said.

In another incident, police nabbed a former Hynniewtrep National Liberation Council cadre for illegally possessing a 9 mm pistol and six round of ammunition.

Meanwhile, all the three have been remanded to police custody.
