Maoists blast Mandal Revenue Office

Visakhapatnam, Jan 3 (UNI) Naxalites belonging to CPI Maoists triggered a blast at the Pedabayulu Mandal Revenue Office (MRO) near Chinthapalli Mandal of Andhra Pradesh late last night.

Police said Maoist East Division Committee Secretary Jagadeesh along with eight maoists, went to the MRO last night and asked the watchman, MRO and Deputy Tahasildar to leave before blasting the office.

The Maoists also handed over a letter to the MRO, demanding that the government combing operations and encounters.

The letter warned of more attacks if the government failed to do so.

Police has stepped up vigil in all 11 agency mandals.
