Mango cultivation meet begins on Jan 6

Tirupathi, Jan 3 (UNI) To create awareness among mango farmers, a one-day meet on mango cultivation will be held here from January 6.

In a release, Agriculture Joint Director Ramachandran today said senior horticulture scientists from various places would participate in the meet and enlighten farmers about precautions to be taken on pest and insect control during and after flowering, besides other measures to enhance yield.

He appealed to farmers to take up only dry crops in the Rabi season for conservation of limited water sources, the release added.
