LJP stages protest against Saddam's hanging
New Delhi, Jan 3 (UNI) The Lok Janashakti Party (LJP) today staged a demonstration in front of the US embassy here in protest against the hanging of deposed Iraqi President Saddam Hussein.
LJP and Dalit Sena volunteers took part in the demonstration and burnt the effigy of US President George W Bush. The protest was led by party Lok Sabha MP and National President of Dalit Sena Ramchandra Paswan.
The demonstrators were arrested by the Delhi Police near the Parliament Street police station.
The party has decided to observe January six as ''Dhikkar Divas'' across the country to protest against the hanging of the former Iraqi president.
