India to ink 2.5mln tonnes LNG deal with Australia

New Delhi, Jan 3 (UNI) India will sign a 2.5 million tonnes Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) deal with Australia in the next 60 days, Petroleum Secretary M S Srinivasan said here today.

As per the terms of the deal, likely to be for 25 years, the LNG supplies will begin from 2011, Mr Srinivasan told reporters here.
