ICSI Regional Council election results announced
New Delhi, Jan 3 (UNI) Mr Harish Kumar Vaid, Ms Preeti Malhotra and Mr Milind B Kasodekar are among 15 members elected to the Central Council/Regional Councils of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) for 2007-2010.
While Mr Biswa Behari Chatterjee and Mr Anil Kumar Murarka were declared elected from the Eastern India regional constituency, Mr Harish Kumar Vaid, Ms Preeti Malhotra, Mr Sanjay Grover, Mr Nesar Ahmad and Mr Pradeep Kumar Mittal were the winners from the Northern India regional constituency, according to an official spokesperson.
The Southern India regional constituency will be represented by Mr Datla Hanumanta Raju, Mr R Sridharan and Mr C Sudhir Babu while Mr Keyoor M Bakshi, Mr B Narasimhan, Mr S N Ananthasubramanian, Mr Milind B Kasodekar and Mr Vinayak Sadashiv Khanvalkar were returned from the Western India regional constituency.
The members have been declared elected to ICSI's Central Council.
Due to extension of tenure by a year, they will now hold tenure for a four-year term.
Meanwhile, elections will be held on January 19 for the post of President and the Vice-President of ICSI from the new incumbents.
Six members have also been elected to the Eastern Regional Council, twelve to the Northern, eight to the Southern and twelve to the Western Regional Councils of the professional body.
According to ICSI Secretary and CEO N K Jain, the electionswere held in mid-December and the results were notified on December 28.
