GIPSA appoints Mr M Ramadoss as Chairman

New Delhi, Jan 3 (UNI) The General Insurers' (Public Sector) Association of India (GIPSA) has elected Mr M Ramadoss, Chairman cum Managing Director of Oriental Insurance Co Ltd as its Chairman.

The appointment was made consequent to completion of term of the existing Chairman B Chakrabarti, who is the Chairman cum Managing Director of New India Assurance Co Ltd, Mumbai. His term ended on December 31, 2006.

Mr Ramadoss assumed his office as Chairman of GIPSA on January 1, 2007, an official statement said.
