General strike cripples life in Sopore
Baramulla, Jan 3 (UNI) Life was today crippled in Sopore due to a general strike in protest against the killing of two militants of Pakistan-based Lashker-e- Toiba (LeT) in an encounter on January 1.
Shops and business establishments are closed and traffic was also off the roads. Work in govenment offices and other commercial establishments was affected due to strike.
Two LeT militants, including a top commander Showkat Ahmad Najar alias Muna Janawari, were killed by the security forces at Muslim Peer Mohalla in Sopore area of this district.
Janawari was wanted in several militancy-related incidents, police said.
