CM asks Housing Dept to complete housing schemes on schedule
Hyderabad, Jan 3 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today asked the Housing Department to complete the different housing schemes on schedule, as funds would not be a problem.
Mr Reddy had a detailed review meeting with higher officials on the progress of housing schemes in the state. He had already asked the Finance Department to give priority to irrigation and housing while allocating funds, he added.
About 17,81,000 houses had been allocated under the Rural Permanent Housing (RPH) of INDIRAMMA Scheme and 2,86,938 houses had been allocated under flood housing in two different spells during August and November 2006, he informed.
Regarding the Rajiv Gruha Kalpa (RGK phase-one) scheme, as on December 2006 tenders were finalised for 45,558 flats and foundation stone and documentation process were done for 27,403 flats.
