Alok Sinha takes over as new CMD of FCI
New Delhi, Jan 3 (UNI) Mr Alok Sinha, an IAS office of 1973 batch from UP, has taken over as the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of the Food Corporation of India (FCI) from today.
Mr Sinha succeeds Mr Ashok Kumar Dubey, IAS, who has been transferred and posted as State Election Commissioner, Punjab.
Prior to joining FCI, he was an Additional Secretary in the Department of Agriculture and Cooperation in the the Ministry of Agriculture.
Mr Sinha has a long association with FCI for his having led the North Zone earlier as Zonal Manager from July 1996 to October 2000.
