AIKS observe fast in Puducherry

Puducherry, Jan 3 (UNI) Members of the All India Kissan Sabha (AIKS) here and the All India Agricultural Workers Union members today observed a fast in front of the Swadeshi Cotton mill premises to press their demands.

They were demanding, among other things, setting up a welfare board for agricultural labourers, implementation of 100 days job guarentee scheme, enhancing milk procurement price to Rs 15 per litre and issue of government order for waiver of agricultural loans.

UNI
