JOHANNESBURG, Jan 3 (Reuters) This year's African Super Cup between Champions League winners Al Ahli of Egypt and African Confederation Cup winners Etoile Sahel of Tunisia will be played in Addis Ababa, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) said.

Tunisian officials previously said the venue would be in Khartoum, Sudan, to form part of the African football body's 50th anniversary celebrations.

But in a statement on its Web site (www.cafonline.com), CAF said the game would be played in the Ethiopian capital which is also one of the venues for the anniversary celebrations.

CAF are holding meetings and matches in Egypt, Ethiopia, Sudan and South Africa, the four founder members of the organisation, throughout this year.

Al Ahli have been forced to concede home advantage although traditionally the Super Cup is hosted by the Champions League winner.

Al Ahli will be seeking a third Super Cup to follow on previous triumphs in 2002 and last year.

Etoile Sahel, who won the African Confederation Cup last month, have also had previous Super Cup success in 1998.
