ACC despatches 16.5 lakh tonnes of cement in December 2006

Mumbai, Jan 3 (UNI) Associated Cement Company (ACC) has despatched 16.5 lakh tonnes cement for the month of December 2006 as compared to 16.0 lakh tonnes in the month of December 2005.

Informing the BSE, the company said during this period the cement production stood at 16.3 lakh tonnes as against 15.7 lakh tonnes in December 2005.

Cumulatively, the cement despatches of ACC for January - December 2006 stood at 186.2 lakh tonnes as compared to 174.6 lakh tonnes in January-December 2005.

The cumulative cement production figures for January-December 2006 at 186.4 lakh as compared to 174.2 lakh tonnes in the comparable period of the previous year.
