ABT X Travels announces inter-state bus service

Chennai, Jan 3 (UNI) ABT X Travels, which launched its long distance Omni bus service in the Coimbatore-Chennai sector in November last, today announced its first inter-state service to Karnataka.

In a release here ABT Group Managing Director M Manickam said the service from Bangalore to Coimbatore and Bangalore to Pollachi would commence from January five and the company would launch services in the Bangalore-Chennai sector shortly.

After entering into the passenger bus service segment in November last, ABT X travels started operations in three sectors, all to Chennai from Coimbatore, Tirupur and Pollachi.

The inter-state service was followed by demands of travelling public, who found the ABT services comfortable for long distance travel and were pleased with the sophisticated interiors, he added.

To ensure passenger safety, seat belts had been provided for every seat in the 40 seat Air-Conditioned bus. A GPS tracking system was also fixed in the buses, which helped tracking the movement of buses from the central operating unit at the ABT office in the city, he said.

He said besides free mineral water and mobile phone charging facility in the buses, the passengers were also provided with eye pads, a facility available only to air passengers.

Mr Manickam said the company would soon unveil its package tours to pilgrim centres across the country. The company had also plans to ply more buses connecting all major cities, including Thiruvananthapuram, Madurai, Puducherry by March, he added.
