50 Cong workers arrested on farmers issue
Betul(MP), Jan 3 (UNI) After using mild force, police arrested 50 Congress workers, who blocked the road here today in an attempt to submit a memorandum to visting Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on the issues of fertiliser shortage and electricity supply to farmers.
Before the arrival of Mr Chouhan, police used mild force to disperse the Congress workers, who had resorted to road blockade, and later arrested them.
The arrested include State NSUI President Hemant Bagdare and district Congress General Secretaries Arun Godhi and Prashant Garg.
Official sources said the Congress workers wanted to submit a memorandum to the Chief Minister on the problems of farmers.
