Indian Science Congress scientists hospitalised

Chidambaram (Tamil Nadu), Jan 3: As many as 27 people, including three scientists, attending the 94th Indian Science Congress (ISC) here were hospitalised following symptoms of food posioning last night, police said today.

All the persons were affected after taking food served at the venue and were rushed to the Raja Muthiah Medical College Hospital.

The affected included three scientists, security personnel of the Prime Minister, an ADSP and policemen.

Except the ADSP and two police personnel, all others have been discharged, police added.
