2-year-old kid run over by truck, mob attacks it

Surat, Jan 3 (UNI) A two-year-old kid died after being run over by a truck, in Ambedkar Nagar, in Limbayat area in the city.

According to Limbayat police the incident occurred in the morning, when Divya, the two-year-old daughter of Vijay Besane, a resident of Ambedkar colony, was walking on the road near her house, sources said.

An irate mob attacked the truck, but the driver and others fled from the scene immediately.

The timely intervention of police helped to control the situation, sources said.
