2-year-old boy kidnapped for ransom, found at railway station
Mumbai, Jan 3 (UNI) A two-year-old boy, who was allegedly kidnapped for ransom by unidentified miscreants on new year day has been found abandoned at the Sion railway station.
The infant was kidnapped when he was playing in front of his house at Dharavi in northcentral Mumbai. In the evening, the toddler's parents received a telephone call demanding a ransom of Rs three lakh and the caller even threatened to kill the boy if the ransom was not paid up, police said.
However, at around 1215 hours yesterday, the boy was found abandoned at the Sion railway station.
A case of kidnapping has been registered against unknown persons and further investigations are in progress, police added.
