Bomb exploded injuring four
Shillong, Jan 02 (UNI) At least, four persons, were injured, one of critically injured when a low intensity bomb exploded in a garment shop in Meghalaya's capital Shillong today, a Police Official said.
State Director General of Police William Richmond Marbaniang said the incident occured at around 2115 hours when miscreants lobbed a local made explosive inside the shop, injuring four persons.
The injured were taken to city civil hospital.
Mr Marbaniang said the police have begun their investigation to find out the gang behind the incident.
Meanwhile, the state police have alerted all the police stations to maintain a strict vigil.
