4 injured in Shillong bomb explosion

Shillong, Jan 2 (UNI) At least four persons were injured, one of critically injured, when a low-intensity bomb exploded in a garment shop here today, police said.

State's Director General of Police William Richmond Marbaniang said the incident occured at around 2115hrs when miscreants lobbed a local-made bomb into the shop, injuring four persons.

The injured were taken to city civil hospital.

Mr Marbaniang said the police have begun their investigation to find out those responsible for the incident.

Meanwhile, the state police have alerted all the police stations to maintain strict vigil.
