Mr Pralhad Mahishi is the new Karnataka Chief Secretary

Bangalore, Dec 30 (UNI) Mr Pralhad Mahishi will be the new Karnataka Chief Secretary.

He succeeded Ms Malati Das, who is retiring tomorrow (December 31). Mr Mahishi, hailing from Dharwad, belonged to 1972 IAS batch.

He had held several posts both in Centre and State Governments besides being Private Secretary to Mr Chandrasekhar, during his regime as Prime Minister.

He had played an important role in reviving the loss making State owned Mysore electrical industries during his three year tenure.

The Industry is making profit for the third successive year.
