Cong accuses MP govt of politicising education
Bhopal, Dec 30 (UNI) Accusing the Madhya Pradesh government of politicising the education system, the state Congress Committee today vehemently objected to former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi's name being deleted from the Centre's Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan.
''The regime's action was at the behest of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. We will demand that the Centre postpone allotment of funds for the mission. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is indulging in propaganda,'' General Secretary Manak Agrawal alleged in a statement.
He accused the Bharatiya Janata Party government of earlier deleting lessons on India's first premier Jawaharlal Nehru from textbooks.
