Works on Dharwad-Gulbarga High Court Benches to be completed by 2008

Bangalore, Dec 29 (UNI) Karnataka Public Works Department Minister H D Revanna today said that the work on High Court benches in Dharwad and Gulbarga at a total costing Rs 127 crore would be completed in the first half of 2008.

Mr Revanna told reporters here the state government had completed the first phase works of the six government medical colleges and would take up the second phase works within a week.

He said the government had sanctioned Rs 240 crore for the second phase works for the colleges located at Mandya, Hassan, Shimoga, Belgaum, Bidar and Raichur.

Mr Revanna, who also has the Energy Portfolio, said that the government had decided to set up 450 power sub stations by March 2008 and achieve a 100 per cent electrification in rural areas by 2008.
