Temperatures normal over most part of the country

Pune, Dec 29 (UNI) Night temperatures were below normal in Haryana and in some parts of southeast Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, eastern Rajasthan, south central Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

They were appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Marathwada, Vidharbha, Orissa, Bihar, Uttaranchal, western Madhya Pradesh and north Konkan.

They were normal over the rest of the country.

Rain or snow is likely to occur at isolated places in Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu&Kashmir.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places in Assam, Meghalaya and the Andaman&Nicobar Islands.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and Lakshadweep.

Very light rains have occurred at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar and Lakshadweep.
