Rajasthan will continue to get due share of water: Amarinder
Ajmer, Dec 29 (UNI) Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh said here today Rajasthan will continue to get its due share of water from Bhakra Nangal Dam and that its share will not be reduced.
On a visit to Sufi Saint Moinuddin Hasan Chisti's dargah, Mr Singh, talking to newspersons said Rajasthan's share of water has not been reduced even when Punjab suffered from water shortage. He said the water agreement reached during Shiv Charan Mathur regime in 1982 between the two states is being followed in toto.
Confident of winning the coming Assembly polls, Mr Singh said the Congress has fulfilled all the 66 promises made in the election manifesto. He said the new manifesto will contain new programmes and developmental projects.
He said the BJP and Akali Dal are in dire straits in Punjab as the common man has totally rejected these parties.
