IG reviews security on eve of Id-ul-Zuha

Jammu, Dec 29 (UNI) In view of the threat perception on the eve of Id-ul-Zuha, a high-level meeting, under chairmanship of Inspector General of Police Dr S P Vaid, was held here to review the security situation and discuss the conduct of incident-free festival.

Official sources said Dr Vaid held a meeting in his office chamber to review be security situation in Jammu Zone on the eve of Id-ul-Zuha, Guru Purab and the forth coming Assembly session.

Dr Vaid directed the senior police officers to gear up their subordinate units by effectively conducting surprise checks aat nakas sources said adding that he told them to pay surprise visits in their area especially in odd hours to prevent any untoward incident on these occasions.
