Criminal carrying Rs 50,000 reward gunned down in Moradabad
Moradabad, Dec 29 (UNI) Police today gunned down a notorious history-sheeter carrying a reward of Rs 50,000 on his head, in an encounter here today.
Acting on a tip-off, police intercepted a car in Thakurdwara area, which was going towards Kashipur in the neighbouring hill state of Uttarakhand.
On being signalled to stop by the police, the car occupants started firing and in the ensuing encounter, one of them was killed.
The deceased was later identified as Jamshed. However, his aide managed to escape, SSP Ajay Anand said.
Police recovered a revolver from the spot.
Jamshed had over 30 cases of murder, loot and extortion registered against him and his.
A case has been registered.
