CAs keen to accelerate Jharkhand's economic growth

Jamshedpur, Dec 29 (UNI) Jharkhand Chartered Accountants (CAs) have urged Chief Minister Madhu Koda to utilise their services for the state's rapid economic development.

A delegation of CAs led by Nawal Kisore Mahto met Mr Koda on December 26 in Ranchi and apprised him of the areas in which the services of the CAs could be utilised.

Mr Mahto told mediapersons here today that Mr Koda had assured the delegation to take the service of the CAs following an elaborate discussions over the subject.

He said the CAs could play a vital role in the development process adding that the states like Andhra Pradesh, Chhatisgarh and Maharashtra had set examples by associating CAs in their economic development process.

Mr Mahto said the CAs could contribute in fields like forestry, mining, power, finance, health and tourism sectors.

He also said the CAs had been contributing in District Rural Development Area (DRDA) and claimed that it would also play an important role in auditing funds alloted for panchayats.
