Asst. Executive Engineer suspended for dereliction of duties

Mysore, Dec 29 (UNI) Karnataka Minister for Housing D T Jayakumar today ordered suspension of a Mysore City Corporation Town Planning Department Assistant Executive Engineer for dereliction of duties.

Mr Jayakumar, who is also Mysore District incharge Minister, paid a surprise visit to the City Corporation office and enquired about the public complaint on a private hotel owner encroaching the government land.

The Minister, six month back, had instructed the concerned Engineer to study the case and submit his report on the issue, however, the officer failed to report.

Mr Jayakumar asked the Commissioner Dr Chandrasekhar to suspend the official and keep the inquiry pending.
