3 police officials suspended for dereliction of duty

Baripada, Dec 29 (UNI) Two police Sub Inspectors and a Havildar were suspended for their alleged dereliction in the protocol duty assigned to them during the recent brief visit of Orissa High Court Chief Justice Sujit Burman Roy.

Mayurbhanj Superintendent of Police Ravi Kant placed Sub-Inspectors Monoranjan Biswal and Purna Chandra Bai and Havildar Nilamani Nayak under suspension yesterday. They were found absent at the Circuit House at the time of arrival of the Chief Justice, official sources today said.

The Chief Justice was on his way to Kolkata on a holiday en route to Baripada. The police officials were assigned the protocol duty but they were found absent at the Circuit House during the arrival of the Chief Justice.
