Surana Industries listed on NSE

Chennai, Dec 28 (UNI) Surana Industries Limited (SIL), a city-based leading steel manufacturer, today announced that it had been listed on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) with effect from today.

The equity shares of the company had been listed and admitted for dealing on the NSE at a face value of Rs 10 each. The trading would be in the normal market segment-compulsory demat (rolling settlement) for all investors, a company release here said.

The company had been listed at the Madras and Bombay Stock Exchanges since July 13, 1994 and August eight, 1994 respectively.

Commenting on the development, SIL Managing Director Dineshchand Surana said 'NSE will provide us a trading platform that extends across the length and breadth of the country. Investors from 277 cities can avail of trading facilities on the NSE Trading Network.' He said the Exchange used the latest communication technology to ensure instant access from any location in India and sophisticated telecommunication network with various trading terminals connected through 2691 VSATs (Very Small Aperture Terminals).

'To provide more liquidity to investors across the country, the company has listed equity shares on NSE. We will use the NSE network to disseminate information and company announcements across the country.' UNI WS AA 1845
