Seema Parihar to become a politician
New Delhi, Dec 28 (UNI) Following the footsteps of dacoit-turned-politician Phoolan Devi, former bandit queen Seema Parihar also wants to become a politician.
Ms Parihar was appointed as secretary of Indian Justice Party by party president Dr Udit Raj today.
Addressing media persons, she said that given an opportunity, she would challenge BSP supremo Mayawati in her assembly constituency.'' Mr Raj said it was time to 'bury Mayawati's self-confessed and unapologetic power politics.' Ms Parihar accused Ms Mayawati of trading assembly election tickets, said the BSP leader had stonewalled Phoolan Devi's attempts to join the party.
It was after this that Phoolan Devi turned to Samajwadi Party, she added.
Asked if it will end up helping Samajwadi Party more than the Dalits, Mr Raj hoped it will divide the Dalit votes.
He said that division of Dalit votes would be a beginning of Ms Mayawati's end. ''It will do the Dalits' cause more good than Mr Yadav's win.
