Redsanders worth Rs 72 lakh seized

Chennai, Dec 28 (UNI) Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) officials have seized red sanders worth about Rs 72 lakh from an export container at the CFS in Tuticorin.

An official release here today said the officials searched the container based on information.

As per the export documents, the container was supposed to carry 400 bags of aluminium sulphate to Malaysia.

The consignment was booked by a company based at Tuticorin, the release said.

Export of red sanders is prohibited, the release added.
