Rebel JD(S) to meet in New Delhi on Dec 30
Mysore, Dec 28 (UNI) Former Minister and rebel Janata Dal (Secular) General Secretary P G R Sindhia today said the party would meet at the national level on December 30 in New Delhi to discuss various issues, including staking claim with the Election Commission for the party symbol.
Speaking to newspersons here, he said the meeting would be chaired by its new President Surendra Mohan and leaders including MP Veerendra Mohan would take part in it.
Mr Sindhia alleged Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy was trying to split the BJP in the State, which was already in turmoil following simmering differences among the party leaders.
Coming down heavily on former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda, he said any threat to his political career would be from his own sons and not others. Knowing well that he had been committing mistakes, Mr Gowda wanted to save his sons for the sake of power, he added.
He said he would tour all over the State next month and strengthen the party further. The party office bearers would be announced shortly.
