Rastogi lone Indian in ITF Futures semis
New Delhi, Dec 28 (UNI) Karan Rastogi remained the lone Indian in fray after rallying to beat Petar Jelenic of Croatia and book a semifinal berth in the ITF Men's Futures tennis tournament here today.
Rastogi was stretched to three sets before he overcame the Croat 6-7(5), 6-4, 6-1.
The Indian Davis Cupper looked rusty as he struggled and lost the opening set in the tie-breaker. However, he bounced back and take the next two to book a berth in the final four.
Another Indian in the quarterfinals, Ashutosh Singh, fought hard before bowing to Todor Enev of Bulgaria 2-6, 6-3, 2-6.
Meanwhile, Hyun Woo Nam proved too good for Aisam Qureshi and the Korean defeated the Pakistani ace 6-4, 6-4 to move into the semifinal.
Kazakh Alexie Kedriyuk also beat Sarvar Ikramov of Uzbekistan 6-4, 6-4 to advance into the next round.
