Tindivanam, Tamil Nadu, Dec 28 (UNI) Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) Founder-Leader S Ramadoss today appealed to the West Bengal Government to immediately hold talks with fasting Trinamool Congress Leader Mamata Banerjee on the Singur issue to save her life.

Speaking to mediapersons at his Thailapuram Farmhouse near here, Dr Ramadoss said the government should clear the air on such proposals and save the leader who was on a fast, protesting the acquistion of farm land for the Tata's small car project.

Not only the Centre but all the states should re-examine laws relating to Special Economic Zone (SEZ), he said.

Quoting a report from CPI (M) organ 'People's Democracy,' Dr Ramadoss said the Centre had acquired three lakh acre of land for SEZs and asked how the government could do so.

''It is for industrial houses to hold talks with the farmers on acquiring their land,'' he said.
