one killed, militant arrested in Kashmir

Srinagar, Dec 28 (UNI) One person was killed while security forces apprehended a militant in the Kashmir valley since last evening, official sources today said.

They said unidentified militants shot at and critically wounded one Shahnawaz Ahmad War at village Nadihal in north Kashmir of Baramulla district last night. He was shifted to hospital where he was declared brought dead.

Security forces apprehended a militant of the Al-Badar outfit alongwith two Chinese grenades and one wireles set at Badgam in central Kashmir last evening during a search operation.

Police recovered a hand grenade from an orchard at Naslapora village in Badgam district last evening.
