Modi to preside elected Panchayat members' convention

Rajkot, Dec 28 (UNI) Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi will preside over the convention organised at Race Course Ground here tomorrow to felicitate the newly-elected Sarpanchs and members from Saurashtra and Kutch.

Local leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party, including Rajya Sabha member Vijay Rupani are taking efforts for the success of the event.

Nearly 25,000 to 30,000 members from the rural areas are expected to attend the convention.

As many as eleven Gujarat ministers would attend the function besides the Chief Minister.
