Mix trend in Non-ferrous metal; ferrous metal steady

Mumbai, Dec 28 (UNI) Mix trend was seen in Non ferrous metal today traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange said.

The ferrous metal prices remained steady while in the non-ferrous segment, Aluminium ingot rose by Rs 100. Tin slab hiked by Rs six per kg due to better buying support and Nickel cathode eased by Rs 10 per kg on thin buying support.

Following are the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: Copper heavy - Rs 33,200, copper utensils - Rs 30,500, brass utensils - Rs 22,700, brass cuttings - Rs 25,500 and aluminium utensils - Rs 10,900.

Non-ferrous metals: Copper wire bars - Rs 36,000, aluminium ingots - Rs 14,300, zinc slab - Rs 23,000, lead ingots - Rs 7,800, tin slab - Rs 598 (per kg) and nickel cathode - Rs 1,730 (per kg).
