MDMK suspension case put off to Jan 4

Chennai, Dec 28 (UNI) Madras High Court today posted hearing of petitions on suspension of two MDMK functionaries to January.

Mr Justice P Jothimani adjourned to January 4 hearing on the petition filed by MDMK Headquarters Secretary and General Council Member N Ramamurthy, seeking to vacate the stay granted on the suspension of MDMK Presidium Chairman L Ganesan and Deputy General Secretary Gingee N Ramachandran from holding their party posts.

Hearing was also adjourned on the common suit filed by Mr Ganesan and Mr Ramachandran, seeking to declare null and void the meeting at Cumbum on December 23 and resolutions passed there, suspending them.

Originally, on a petition by MDMK Saidapet Divisional Secretary and General Council Member T Sampath, Mr Justice P Jothimani passed an order on December 24, staying the operation of the MDMK resolution, suspending the two.
