Land owners should be made share holders of industries, Sahay

Ranchi, Dec 28 (UNI) Hinting at possible feature of Jharkhand's rehabilitation policy -- expected to take final shape next month, Union Minister of State for Food Processing Subodhkant Sahay today said that the people whose land is acquired for setting up industries, should be given shares in them.

Talking to reporters here at the state Congress office, he also suggested that the state government establish its own land bank.

Asserting that the Jharkhand government would come up with a new rehabilitation policy in the state next month, he said the state government would also introduce a fresh mineral policy, friendly to more investments in the state.

Commenting on the nature of extremism in Jharkhand, the minister said the problem existed only due to backwardness and unemployment in the state, adding development and negotiation were the only way to check it.

Mr Sahay was here to participate in the function organised to mark the 122nd establishment day of Congrress.
