Kidnapped boy rescued, two kidnappers sustain bullet injuries
Bangalore, Dec 28 (UNI) The police have rescued an abducted boy in Kolar, 65 km from here, after an encounter with the kidnappers in which two of the them sustained bullet injuries.
The police acted on information that the kidnappers had chosen Kolar as the point of exchange for releasing Irfan for Rs 25 lakh ransom. However, on sighting the police the kidnappers attacked them and in retaliation, the police opened fire. While two of the kidnappers sustained injuries, several policemen were also injured in the attack.
The boy, who was kidnapped on December 25, was finally rescued from a house in Bangalore on the information given by the injured culprits.
Irfan told newsmen that he was kidnapped while he was playing in front of his house and he was kept in confinement with his hands and legs tied for the last three days.
The injured were admitted to hospital.
