'Kapilvastu Mahotsav' starts tomorrow

Siddharthnagar, Dec 28 (UNI) The five-day 'Kapilvastu Mahotsav' will start tomorrow at Kapilvastu, the birth place of Lord Buddha in Siddharhnagar district.

The fest will be inaugurated by Uttar Pradesh assembly speaker Mata Prasad Pandey.

Several cultural programmes including Stupa Pujan, seminars, kavi sammelan and mushaira are lined up for the mahotsav, official sources said here today.

Besides, sports competitions and departmental exhibitions would be organised.

Buddhist monks from India and abroad have also been invited at the fest.
