Jharkhand to open 'janta durbar' soon
Ranchi, Dec 28 (UNI) The Madhu Koda-led UPA government in Jharkhand will soon introduce 'janta durbar'.
AICC member in-charge of Jharkhand Noor Banu today announced this at a press conference adding that as per party high command's wishes, the Chief Minister had been urged to have direct conversation with common people to get first hand account of their grievances.
Though no schedule had been framed yet, the Chief Minister showed interest in the idea and pomised to have it implemented soon, the AICC member said.
Asked about the Congress stand on boards as the party was extending outside support to the Koda government, she made it clear that the party was not averse to accepting chairmanship of those.
Expressing concern over the rampant corruption, she said the state government was asked to strengthen its vigilance cell and keep constant vigil in offices in disticts and blocks.
On insurgency, she said the Congress had prepared a report about countering insurgency adding the report would be given to the state government.
The Chief Minister could see if it could be incorporated in the government policy to contain the menace more effectively.
On strengthening the party, she said state Congress president Pradeep Kumar Balmuchu had been advised to form the bodies at district and block level by March next year.
Asked about random tranfers caused by the Koda govenment, Mr Balmuchu said with hange of guard it was required to change the system.
''As the NDA was replaced by the UPA then, what was the logic of retaining the same staff'', PCC president quipped.
