Haryana govt to provide jobs to 1 lakh youths

Chandigarh, Dec 28 (UNI) The Haryana government will provide jobs to one lakh youths during its five-year term.

An official spokesman said 61 employment exchanges were functioning in the state, including a state employment exchange, six divisional employment exchanges, 25 district employment exchanges, 24 rural employment exchanges and three university employment information and guidance centres.

As many as 10.75 lakh names had been registered in different employment exchanges of the state and providing government jobs to all these youths was very difficult. So the State Government had formulated its Industry Policy 2005 which had given encouraging results in providing job opportunities to the youth.

He said as a result of this policy 29 new big and medium as well as 1756 small scale industries had been set up in the state where an investment of Rs 416 crore had been made.
