First Goan Marathi film to be released in Mah

Panaji, Dec 28 (UNI) The first Goan Marathi film 'Sakshi', is slated for release in Maharashtra and Goa in the first week of January next year, following it's premier on December 30 at the Kala Academy theatre here.

Script-writer and producer Mr Amar Sawanth and director Sandeep Kalangutkar today told mediapersons that the plot of the film revolves around the adversities a girl faces in her life.

He disclosed that only around 30 percent of the film's recording was done in and around Kolhapur, while the rest was done in Goa.

With the only exception of the music-composer, Mr Manohar Golambare who hails from Maharastra, all the other artists associated with the film are Goans, Mr Sawanth pointed out.

The 1 hour 55 minutes duration film, which also boasts of six songs, will be screened in first-class theatres in Maharastra and six theaters in Goa, he added.
