New Delhi, Dec 28 (UNI) The CBI today filed a chargesheet against four officials of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), including a Director of Horticulture (retd) in connection with causing a loss of nearly Rs two crore to the state exchequer in purchase of sandstone benches.

The chargesheet filed in the Court of Special Judge here was also made against three other MCD officials -- then Assistant Director of Horticulture (Technical), a Junior Engineer (Civil) Horticulture, and Section Officer (Horticulture) -- and two private contractors for causing a loss of about Rs 1.83 crore to the exchequer in the purchase of red sandstone benches meant for installation in public parks in the city.
